Specialising in "fine, rare and antiquarian books", the husband and wife operation pride themselves on their warm and personalised approach to business.

They told Chester Nub News: "Aldous Books is an antiquarian bookshop in the heart of Chester.

"We're friendly, knowledgeable and have a wide variety of books in a relaxed atmosphere.

"We encourage people to sit, relax and enjoy the vibe of the store."

The building was formerly home to Milby's, a specialist drinks store which closed its doors for good on 30 March.
