Former Revolution bar to be transformed into 'premier' event space

A former Chester city centre bar is getting a new lease of life, with plans announced to transform the space into a private hire venue.
Having served Foregate Street for well over a decade, Chester's Revolution bar closed its doors for good last August.
The chain closed several venues across the UK in 2024, with Revolution Bars Group citing financial pressures and declining footfall as reasons for the closures.
Having sat empty ever since, a new company looks set to take over the building, with plans to cater for birthdays, celebrations, gender reveals, baby showers and other events.
Described as "a luxurious blank canvas venue", the company, Co.Co, also operates from a Liverpool venue on Castle Street, which boasts 17,000 followers on social media.
It took to Instagram to announce it was bringing the "first premier private hire venue to Chester", with work set to start this week.
The company said: "After months and months of searching to find the perfect location for Co.Co. Chester, we have now secured our site.
"The old Revolution on Foregate Street in the city centre is set to be transformed into the Chesters 1st Premier Private Hire Venue .
"Works will start very soon, so please follow for updates but we are now taking bookings from October onwards.
"We can't wait to show you what we have planned for the site. You won't recognise it."
