Man arrested on suspicion of drug driving following tractor crash

A 52-year-old man from Boughton has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and drug driving, after a tractor collided with two houses in Chester.
Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses and video footage following the incident.
At 6.36am on Tuesday 1 April, police were called to reports of a collision on the A51 Vicars Cross Road, near to the junction of Pearl Lane.
Officers attended the scene and found that there had been a collision between a tractor and a Mercedes.
The tractor had also collided with two houses.
The driver of the Mercedes has since been released pending further enquiries.
There were no reports of any serious injuries, and the occupants of the two houses were all safe well.
However, the drivers of the two vehicles were taken to the Countess of Chester Hospital as a precautionary measure.
Both men have since been released.
Both vehicles have since been recovered from the scene and traffic management has now been handed to the local authority.
