Storyhouse set to host Women Weekend

This Saturday (10 May) Storyhouse will kick off 'Women Weekend', with two days of events celebrating women and girls.
The weekend will feature thought-provoking discussions, empowering workshops and celebratory performances.
Staff and students from the University of Chester will also be playing their part.
As part of the programme, Dr Dawn Llewellyn, professor of Religion and Gender, will give a bite-size talk about Fourth Wave Feminism - as part of a panel.
Additionally, professional doctorate graduate in Theology and Religious Studies and prison chaplain, Rev Dr Louise Annison, will feature in a talk on women in prison.

Dr Dawn Llewellyn said: "Storyhouse Women is such an important, fun, and inclusive weekend.
"It's exciting that our students and staff can take part and share their research and lived experiences across a range of themes."
Nicola Haigh, Storyhouse's Community Project Manager, added: "Having local, international experts in our city who specialise in gender, gives our audiences an opportunity to hear directly from academics and to be inspired by their insights."
A spokesperson for Storyhouse said: "Whether you would like to gain a deeper understanding of a particular topic or support the women in your life, please come along.
"We encourage young women and girls to attend, and those aged 16-25 can even take advantage of our Young Storyhouse Card discount."
Almost all of the events during the weekend are free or £5.
Guests can buy a Weekend Pass for £15 or a day Pass for £10.
