Chester FC's women’s walking football team make debut

Chester FC's brand new women's walking football team took to the pitch for the first time at the weekend.
Formed following the success of weekly sessions run by the club's Community Trust, the history-making squad travelled to Northwich to take part in a tournament at Cheshire FA's headquarters at Moss Farm.
Facing teams from Stockport County, 1874 Northwich and Nantwich, the Seals performed fantastically well in their first outing, with all players enjoying themselves and already looking forward to the next event.
Walking football is a fun, social version of the game, played at a slower pace with no running and minimal contact.
This makes it ideal for older players, as well as those who want to return to the game or looking to play for the first time.
Chester FC Community Trust's women's walking football sessions currently take place every Thursday, from 7pm to 8pm, at Goals Soccer Centre.
New players of all ages and experience levels are always welcome.
