Chester FC champions girls' football as young athletes take over Deva Stadium

Girls from 12 Chester primary schools joined the Biggest Ever Football Session by enjoying a fun-filled day at Deva Stadium.
Chester FC Community Trust recently hosted a festival of football for girls in year groups three and four.
The Biggest Ever Football Session is a national campaign which seeks to empower the next generation through girls' football.
The annual event is central to the FA's ambition to give girls equal access to football in school.
Participants had the opportunity to develop their football skills through coaching activities and small-sided games during the day.
They were also given a behind the scenes stadium tour, including a visit to the team changing rooms.

Chester FC Community Trust engages with 200 players each week through its women and girls programmes, which include Weetabix Wildcats, Girls' Player Development Centre, FA Girls' Emerging Talent Centre and Chester FC Women's teams.
The charity also works with schools in Cheshire West and Chester to grow and develop girls' football through coaching sessions, extra-curricular clubs and inter-school events.
The event was in collaboration with Chester School Sport Partnership, supported by Cheshire FA and the Community Trust's football education students.
Community Trust coaches have also been visiting Huntington Primary School and St Mary's of the Angels Primary School to promote girls' football as part of this year's Biggest Ever Football Session.
Chester School Sport Partnership supports schools to deliver high quality PE and school sport, working with with primary and secondary schools to enhance the quality of sporting opportunities through the curriculum, intra and inter-school competition and developing the young volunteers of the future.
