Woman, 90, dies after car crashes into Chester home

A 90-year-old woman has died in hospital after a car crashed into a Chester home on Monday 1 December.

Police are now appealing for information following the fatal crash.

At 12.19pm on Monday, December 1, police received reports of a crash on Meadows Lane, Saughall, Chester.

The incident involved a yellow Ford KA which had collided with a house.

The driver of the car, a 78-year-old woman, and the passenger, a 90-year-old woman, were both taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Police have now confirmed the passenger has since died. Her next of kin were informed and are being supported by specialist officers.

The driver remains in hospital at this time.

Detective Sergeant Russell Sime:"This is an incredibly sad incident, and we have been working to establish the exact circumstances of what took place.

"To aid us, we are asking anyone who witnessed what happened and has not already spoken to police to get in touch with us. The same goes for anyone who may have any relevant dash cam, CCTV or video doorbell footage.
