The University of Chester has been nationally recognised in student-led awards, highlighting its strong reputation for teaching quality and support.
It has been shortlisted for six categories in the prestigious Whatuni Student Choice Awards (WUSCAs), the only UK higher education awards entirely voted for and judged by students.
Now in its 13th year, the WUSCAs celebrate and amplify the student voice by drawing on more than 42,000 verified reviews gathered from over 85 university campuses across the UK.
The Chester university has been shortlisted across six key areas, including teaching quality, student support, accommodation, and postgraduate and international provision.
"These nominations are especially meaningful because they are based entirely on the honest views and experiences of our students," said vice-chancellor of the University of Chester, professor Eunice Simmons.
"Their feedback shapes everything we do, and being recognised in areas ranging from teaching quality to student support and accommodation is a testament to the dedication of our staff and the strength of our community.
"We are incredibly proud of our students, grateful for their contributions, and honoured to feature among the top institutions in the UK."
The University of Chester has been voted the North West's University of the Year the past two years (2025 and 2024). The winners of each category will be announced at the Whatuni Student Choice Awards ceremony on May 21, 2026.
