St Peter's Cafe reopens its historic doors

St Peter's Cafe, nestled within the 700-year-old St Peter's Church in the heart of Chester city centre, has officially reopened.
Following a period of restoration work to stabilise the church's east wall, the café has reopened its doors with a fresh new menu and extended opening hours.
Guests can now visit Tuesday to Saturday from 10.00am to 3:30pm, and enjoy the tranquil atmosphere of one of Chester's most iconic buildings.
The launch event was attended by a mix of returning guests, new faces, local councillors, and Chester's own Town Crier.

Inside guests enjoyed their meals beneath the Victorian stained-glass windows, surrounded by the rich history and quiet beauty of St Peter's Church.
St Peter's Cafe serves a delicious range of sandwiches, hand-made cakes, and coffee at affordable prices.
A particular highlight is the café's bacon and sausage baps, made using locally sourced meat - which have already proved a hit with returning customers.
Rev Jonathan Phillips said: "We're thrilled to welcome people back to St Peter's Café.
"It's a privilege to serve homemade treats and fresh coffee in such a special place and we're proud to showcase local ingredients and hand-made treats in a setting that's full of history and heart."
Whether you're catching up with friends, looking for a quiet moment of reflection, or just in search of great coffee in Chester - St Peter's Café is now open.
