Students from Cheshire College recently secured top spots at the final round of a national hair and beauty competition.

Held at Norbreck Castle hotel in Blackpool, the competition organised by the Association of Hairdressers & Therapists (AHT), tested the students' technique in makeup, body art and nails.

Following their performances in the regional rounds, the students guaranteed spots in the national finals.

Among the top winners was Alfie Waddon, a media makeup student, who was awarded first place in the 'fashion magazine vogue look' category.

Jordan Brockhurst earned third place in the half body art competition, where her avatar-inspired body art earned praise from the judges.
