Spinners Chester Opening – Frodsham Street – Friday 27 March

Spinners Chester opens this weekend, putting a modern spin on classic games such as duckpin bowling, electric darts, clay shooting, interactive mini golf, electric boules and shuffleboard.
Located on Frodsham Street in the former Poundland unit, the new venue brings a fresh addition to the city centre, with a focus on competitive socialising in a relaxed, group-friendly setting.
The venue promises "seriously Instagrammable interiors", alongside a menu of cocktails, pizzas, burgers and loaded sides.

Charity gig - St Werbughs Parish Centre - Saturday 28 March

A live music fundraiser will take place this Saturday evening in memory of Paul Hickman, a much-loved figure in Chester's music scene.
Taking place on Saturday 28 March at St Werburgh's Parish Centre, the night will feature performances from Electric Blues Factory, Sonic Trip Project, Mighty Atomizer, Toria Woof, and Circl8 DJs, with sound provided by Dragons Are Real Music Services and psychedelic visuals by Richard Starbuck.
A description for the event reads: "Paul gave so much to the music scene in Chester; he was a huge inspiration and loved by so many. This will be an evening to celebrate and remember one of Chester's very best."

Chester Amphitheatre: An 8000 year story - Grosvenor Museum

The Grosvenor Museum's latest exhibition details the story of one of Chester's most significant archaeological sites.
A description reads: "Find out what was there before the Romans built the largest amphitheatre in Britain, what new information was revealed about the amphitheatre and what happened in the centuries after the Romans left.
"This exhibition displays discoveries made by the major research excavations at Chester Amphitheatre in 2004 – 2006, a partnership between English Heritage and the then Chester City Council."

Big Fat Quiz On The Roof - Rooftop Social Club - Sunday 29 March

Rooftop Social Club hosts a weekly quiz every Sunday evening with cash prizes up for grabs.
A description for the event reads: "The Big Fat Quiz on the Roof is BACK from 7pm – and so is your chance to bag up to £250 cash!

Jane and the Hurricanes – Alexander's Live – Sunday 29 March

Jane and the Hurricanes are back at Alexander's Live this Sunday afternoon.
A description for the event reads: "Following their 'hip shakin' Sunday afternoon last autumn, the band returns with an eclectic set of well-known blues classics fused with modern blues-rock, upbeat rhythm and blues, and a few original songs thrown into the mix.
"The band delivers gutsy guitar riffs, admirable slide, edgy raw sounding tenor and baritone saxophones, a groove of exceptional versatile basslines and powerhouse drums backing a powerful, blues-enriched vocal."
