Man faces multiple charges after weekend disorder in Chester

A man from Wrexham has been charged with a number of offences after resisting his arrest in Chester.
On Saturday (3 May) at 12.50pm, officers spotted and followed a man driving a "suspicious vehicle" on Vicar Street.
The car stopped on Bridge Street, where officers attempted to arrest Llewellyn Parker-Jones.
However, at this point he became violent and further police patrols were called to the scene to apprehend the 28-year-old man.
Parker-Jones has was later charged with dangerous driving, driving while disqualified, driving without insurance, resisting arrest, drink driving, use of threatening behaviour without intent and possession of class B drugs (cannabis).
He is now set to appear at at Chester Crown Court on Monday 2 June.
A spokesperson for Cheshire Police said: "At 12.50pm on Saturday 3 May, officers spotted a suspicious vehicle on Vicar Street, Chester.
"Police attempted to arrest the man but he became violent towards officers, so further patrols were called to the scene to assist.
"The 28-year-old, of Borras Hall Lane, Llan Y Pwll, Wrexham, is next set to appear at Chester Crown Court on Monday 2 June."
