A school crossing patrol officer in Great Boughton is marking 28 years of service.
Pat Markert, who works outside Oldfield Primary School in Chester, is a well-known presence on the school run.
After nearly 30 years in the role, pupils and staff marked her milestone by forming a guard of honour in the playground and applauding as she walked to her crossing point.
Parents and carers also gathered at the school gate to thank her for her long service and reliability.
To show their appreciation, pupils and staff presented Pat with handmade cards, while her family gifted her flowers to mark the special occasion.
Cheshire West and Chester Council's director of Transport and Highways, Rose McArthur said school crossing patrol officers "play a vital role" in keeping children safe and supporting active travel.
She added: "We are incredibly grateful to Pat and all our patrols for the invaluable work they carry out every day.
"Congratulations to Pat on this fantastic milestone - and here's to many more years of service."
