A popular Manchester-born pizza chain is set to open its first Chester restaurant later this month.

Rudy's Pizza Napoletana will officially open on Saturday 13 June, taking over the former Carluccio's site on Bridge Street.

Marking Rudy's 39th site nationwide, the new two-storey restaurant will seat more than 170 guests and create up to 30 local jobs.

To celebrate the launch, the business will host a charity opening event in partnership with SHARE Chester, with all proceeds donated to the organisation, which supports people experiencing homelessness and financial hardship.

Funds raised through an on-site raffle will also go directly to the charity.

Guests who reserve a table for the event will also receive a complimentary sharing garlic bread. Spots for the charity evening are available to book here.

Since opening its first location in Manchester's Ancoats in 2015, Rudy's has become known for its light, double-fermented dough and dedication to Neapolitan pizza-making.

The company is the largest organisation in the world accredited by the Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana (AVPN), the international body that protects and promotes authentic Neapolitan pizza.

In 2025, Rudy's was also recognised among the World's 50 Best Pizzerias, ranking 23rd globally.
