Police have released CCTV images of a man they'd like to speak to following an assault at a pub in Chester.

On Friday 14 August at 12.10am, police were called to the Old Queen's Head following reports of a man having been assaulted.

The victim, who was on his own, had been invited to drink with a group of people.

The group asked him for money which he later withdrew from a cash machine. A man and woman left once they had the money, and a second man went to follow them.

When the victim went to follow him, he was assaulted and sustained a broken jaw. The man then ran off towards Eastgate Street.

The suspect is described as white, approximately 21 to 26 years old and around 5ft 8ins to 5ft 9ins tall. He was wearing a grey t-shirt, navy shorts, and white trainers.

DC Ashley Frowe said: "I'd urge anyone who recognises the man or knows of whereabouts to contact us so that we can progress with our investigation."
