Fudge Kitchen has officially opened its doors in Chester city centre.

Located on Watergate Street, the Chester location marks the company's first new store opening in almost ten years.

Known for its live demonstrations, visitors can watch expert fudge makers create batches of fudge by hand throughout the day using traditional techniques refined over more than 40 years.

Made with fresh whipping cream and natural ingredients, every batch is crafted on marble tables in full view of customers.

The site is also the first Fudge Kitchen location to operate entirely on renewable electricity, using fully electric cooking equipment powered by renewable energy as part of the company's commitment to reducing its environmental impact.

Ian McCluskey, retail director at Fudge Kitchen, said: "We've been overwhelmed by the warm welcome we've received from the people of Chester and the business community since opening our doors.

"Our shops are much more than places to buy fudge - they're places where people can experience traditional craftsmanship, meet our passionate makers and enjoy something genuinely memorable.

"Chester is a fantastic city with a thriving independent retail scene, and we're delighted to now be part of its community."

Founded in 1983, Fudge Kitchen has venues in Bath, Canterbury, Cambridge, Edinburgh, Windsor and York, while also supplying luxury retailers including Harrods, Selfridges, Fortnum & Mason and Claridge's.
