Chester Castle's Soldiers and Citizens event returns to the city this month.
The annual event will take place on Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 September, offering a programme of living history, costumed interpretation and hands-on activities exploring the castle's 900-year history.
Running from 10am to 3pm on both days, interpreters on hand to share the stories behind the castle and provide visitors with the opportunity to engage with its history.
A spokesperson for Chester Castle said: "There'll be plenty to see, do and get involved with - and we'll be revealing more details about what to expect over the coming days, so keep your eyes peeled!"
Hinting at more seasonal events to follow, event organisers confirmed that the castle's ghost tours would also soon be returning in October.
