Local MP to address concerns at Chester housing surgery
By Dherran Titherington 3rd Jun 2026
A local MP will host a dedicated housing surgery this week, offering residents the chance to access advice and support on a wide range of housing concerns.
On Friday 5 June, Samantha Dixon, MP for Chester North and Neston, will lead an event bringing together housing providers, alongside representatives from Cheshire West and Chester Council's housing team.
The event will give local people the opportunity to speak directly with organisations able to provide guidance, practical support, and information on available services.
Housing continues to be one of the most common issues raised by residents contacting the local MP's office, she explained, with constituents regularly seeking help on matters including social housing, repairs, homelessness, temporary accommodation and housing applications.
She said: "It's clear there is still a real need for opportunities like this where people can speak directly to those who can help.
"These surgeries are an important way of bringing organisations together in one place so residents can access advice, ask questions, and get support with the challenges they are facing.
"I would encourage anyone experiencing housing difficulties or concerns to get in touch and register to attend."
Residents interested in attending the housing surgery are encouraged to contact Samantha Dixon's office to register and receive full event details.
