A range of immersive events will mark a new major gladiator exhibition at the Grosvenor Museum.

The packed calendar of themed events in Chester marks the arrival of 'Gladiators of Britain', a British Museum partnership exhibition.

Revealing the hidden tales of gladiators who fought and died in Britain, it examines the history of gladiatorial fights in Britain, who gladiators were and the importance of spectacle in Roman culture.

Alongside 'Gladiators of Britain', there is also the chance to step into the arena this autumn and winter, not just through the major touring exhibition, but through a range of themed activities.

The line-up includes planned talks with experts and historians, afternoon tea with a twist, Roman zumba in the amphitheatre, the chance to train like a gladiator, learn ancient medicine and more.
