Man, 89, hospitalised after car overturns in Boughton crash

Two people were rescued from an upturned car following a crash in Boughton yesterday evening (Thursday 9 October).
Police were called just after 8pm to reports of a crash on Hoole Lane, involving a Vauxhall Corsa and a Dacia Sandero.
Fire crews in attendance at the the scene removed the driver and a passenger from a Vauxhall Corsa, which had been found on its roof.
Its driver, an 87-year-old man, sustained minor injuries to his elbow. He was taken to the Countess of Chester Hospital as a precaution with the passenger.
The driver of the Dacia Sandero sustained no injuries and no arrests have been made.
A Spokesperson for Cheshire Police said: "At around 8.02pm on Thursday 10 October, officers in Chester responded to reports of a road traffic incident in the Hoole Lane area of Chester.
"Officers responded to the incident, alongside colleagues from Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service and the North West Ambulance Service, and it involved a Vauxhall Corsa and a Dacia Sandero."
"Colleagues from Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service assisted in removing the driver and a passenger from the Vauxhall Corsa, which had been found on its roof.
"No arrests have been made."
A spokesperson for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "Crews were called to a road traffic collision in Chester, where one car was in collision with a stationary vehicle.
"Two casualties were rescued from the vehicle and handed over to the care of paramedics. Police were also in attendance, and the scene was handed over to them."
