Dive into Chester's rich past at Town Hall event

Chester Town Hall will host a series of talks exploring the history and symbolism of Chester's civic regalia.
The public talks will form part of the packed calendar of events marking the 10th anniversary of Chester Heritage Festival.
Delivered by either one of the civic attendants or the visitor centre manager, the Chester civic regalia talks will take place at 2pm on Tuesday 3 and Thursday 5 June.
The sessions will delve into the stories behind the city's ceremonial treasures, offering a rare glimpse into the traditions that have shaped Chester's civic identity over the centuries.
The Lord Mayor of Chester, Cllr Sherin Akhtar, said: "The Chester Heritage Festival is an opportunity to be fully immersed in a celebration of our city's rich and diverse past.
"The Civic Regalia Talks offer a unique experience where one can connect with the traditions that continue to define our civic pride.
"I would encourage everyone to come along and discover the fascinating stories behind these precious and unique artifacts."
Tickets are priced at £5, with free entry for children.
Tickets can be purchased at the Chester Visitor Information Centre, located next to the Town Hall entrance on Northgate Street.
