A Chester retirement community recently hosted a charity fashion show to raise money for local schools.

Residents and guests gathered at the Wyldewoods retirement community this month for a fashion show in collaboration with local design house, Riverhouse Interiors.

Alongside showcasing new designs, the evening raised £600 for Christleton pre-school and primary school.

"We're proud to have combined fashion and fundraising in such a meaningful way," said Kelly Marks, community coordinator at Thrive Living.

"Events like this truly reflect the spirit of The Wyldewoods and its growing community who are connected and committed to giving back.

"We have an exciting programme of upcoming events and initiatives and invite everyone to come along and experience the Wyldewoods."

The event also marks a growing calendar of community-focused activities designed to bring people together and give back.

Nestled on the outskirts of Chester, The Wyldewoods is part of the Thrive Living collection by Retirement Villages Group (RVG).

Setting a new benchmark for independent retirement living, it was recently hailed as the "Premier League" of quality retirement communities in the area.
