A local man is set to take part in a darts marathon this weekend, raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support.
This Saturday 3 January, a Chester-based darts player, Rob Jeffries, is aiming to score 100,000 points in a single darts marathon.
Taking place at The Bromfield Arms pub in Hoole, just a day before the PDC World Darts Championship final begins, Rob has set a fundraising target of £750.
All donations will go directly to Macmillan's work supporting people living with cancer.
"I wanted to do something that really pushed me, but also brought people together," Rob said.
"If a day of throwing darts can help Macmillan support people and families dealing with cancer, then it's more than worth the effort."
Macmillan Cancer Support provides a wide range of services, including emotional support, practical guidance and help with everyday challenges that can arise following a cancer diagnosis.
Members of the public are welcome to attend the event, where they can watch the challenge unfold and show their support.
Donations can also be made online through Rob's Macmillan fundraising page, with every contribution helping to fund vital services for people affected by cancer across the UK.
