In this short film the narrator takes us on a journey from Chester's Roman origins to what it looked like in 1931.

You'll see lots of familiar locations and places, such as St Peter's Church and the Rows, which are described as 'one of the strangest shopping centres in England'.

It also gives a deep insight on the history of Chester Cathedral, whilst providing footage of what life in Chester looked like in the early 20th century.
