A body has been found during the search for a missing Chester man.

An appeal was launched on Monday (22 June) after 42-year-old Scott Astbury was last seen at around 9.30am on Sunday 14 June, in Ince, Cheshire West.

Cheshire Police has said that, while formal identification has yet to take place, the body is believed to be that of Mr Astbury.

His next of kin have been informed.

Officers said the death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.
