A man from Blacon has been jailed after pleading guilty to drug dealing offences in Chester.
Alfie Parker appeared at Chester Crown Court on Monday 18 May, where he pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply class A drugs (cocaine) and possession of class B drugs (ketamine).
The 27-year-old, of Stamford Road, Blacon, was sentenced to 27 months in prison and ordered to pay £228 surcharge.
On Friday 17 April, officers on patrol in Blacon spotted Parker acting suspiciously on Graham Road. He attempted to evade police by running onto the driveway of a nearby property and jumping over a garden fence.
However, officers quickly located him hiding between two wheelie bins in a nearby garden.
During a search of the area, police found a bundle of cash hidden behind the bins along with a black glasses case containing multiple individually wrapped bags of cocaine and a small quantity of ketamine.
In total, the cocaine had an estimated street value of £3,520, while the ketamine was valued at around £20. Parker was later charged with drugs offences following his arrest.
Following the sentencing, Police Constable Giorgia Sharkey said: "I welcome the sentence handed to Parker and I hope it acts as a warning to others looking to deal drugs in Chester.
"Illegal drugs have a hugely detrimental impact on our communities, and we're committed to doing all we can to ensure those responsible are held accountable."
