An extraordinary wartime story comes to Hoole Community Centre on Friday 6th November.

Award-winning actor Nicholas Collett presents Mettle, a moving solo play exploring his father's service on the Atlantic convoys during the Second World War.

Written and performed by Nicholas, the production retraces experiences of dangerous seas and U-boat attacks, revealing the wartime memories his father kept private for years.

At its heart is a personal story about a father and son, love, loss and the lasting effects of war. Mettle offers an evening of live theatre for anyone interested in history, family stories and the people behind wartime service.

Presented as part of the Cheshire Rural Touring Arts programme.

Friday 6th November 2026 - 7.30pm to 9.30pm
