Voters head to the polls in Cheshire West and Chester by-election

Voters in part of Ellesmere Port head to the polls today to choose their new representative on Cheshire West and Chester Council.
A by-election takes place in Strawberry ward today (Thursday, October 2) with six candidates in the running.
The vote was triggered after the incumbent councillor stepped down for health reasons.
The candidates in alphabetical order are:
- Paul Bowers (Green Party)
- Kris Fisher (Labour Party)
- Nicholas Hebson (Conservative Party)
- Lizzie Jewkes (Liberal Democrats)
- Ray McHale (independent)
- Jason Moorcroft (Reform UK)
Polls close at 10pm and a list of polling stations are as follows:
- Mobile Polling Station – Willowdale Way, Between Cedardale
- Drive and Blackthorne Avenue, Ellesmere Port
- Mobile Polling Station – Willowdale Way, Between Cedardale
- Drive and Blackthorne Avenue, Ellesmere Port
- Hope Farm Methodist Church, Hope Farm Road, Ellesmere Port
Registered votes in the ward who wish to have their say at the ballot box today must take an acceptable form of photo ID with them or be turned away.
