School and college students are being invited to a range of upcoming taster days at Chester University.

Those in years 11, 12 and 13 are invited to explore subjects in the faculty of science, business and enterprise from 30 April to 2 May.

Students are also being invited to a dance day at creative campus Kingsway on 14 May - alongside two psychology taster days on 18 and 26 June.

On 30 April 30, students can get a taste of computer and data science, software engineering, cybersecurity, games design and mathematics at the Exton Park Campus.

There will be interactive lab sessions on 1 May, including an owl pellet dissection, crab physiology practical and chemistry spectroscopy.

On 14 May, a day of dance will see students will participate in a contemporary dance workshop where they will learn phrase-based movements and engage in creative choreographic exploration.

All tasters are designed to help students get hands-on experience of university-level study, as well as information on applying for and studying at university.

Rachel Howle, outreach co-ordinator, said: "A taster day is an excellent opportunity to deepen subject knowledge whilst getting some first-hand experience of what it's like to study at university.

"We'll have a range of engaging, interactive sessions with experts from across our subject teams."

The events run from 10am-2pm.

Students are advised to bring packed lunches or purchase refreshments on site (all campuses are cashless).

Students can book to come on their own, or teachers can book school groups on.
