Roadworks will continue until 25 February on Station View, Chester.

The multi-utility works servicing the City Place Development, will install water and electricity infrastructure simultaneously.

Three-way traffic lights will be in place on Station View throughout the duration of works, which are installing a 250m long water pipe and high voltage cables.

A spokesperson for The Electricity Network Company Limited said: "Power On Connections are completing multi utility works to service 133 new homes at the City Place Development on behalf of Latima Homes.

"The works commenced on Friday 7 February and are planned to last until Tuesday 25 February, due to the complexities of installing a 250m long water pipe and High Voltage cables, including the diversion of cables on behalf of Scottish Power.

"There will be a requirement for 3-way traffic lights to be in place as agreed with the Highways Authority throughout the duration of works, although these will be manned during peak times to mitigate any potential congestion where possible.

"As we will be installing both water and electricity infrastructure simultaneously, this will remove the need to open the public highway on multiple occasions therefore enabling us to minimise disruption to road users."
