Police are trying to locate a sentimental item of jewellery which is believed to have been stolen from a Chester address.

Officers have now released an image of the item.

It was initially reported that the item, a diamond which had been set into a ring, was stolen at some point in June 2025 from an address in Chester city centre.

Enquiries are currently ongoing, but officers are looking to speak to anyone who may have seen it or may have been sold it.

Detective Constable Richard Connolley said: "The investigation into this report is currently ongoing and officers are following key lines of enquiry.

"But we would now like to speak to anyone who believes they may have seen a ring or item of jewellery containing this diamond, or has been sold or offered it, perhaps not knowing it may have been stolen property.

"You can contact Cheshire Police on 101 or through our website, quoting 25000592004."
