Susan Hill's acclaimed ghost story, 'The Woman in Black', will open at Chester's Storyhouse.

On 24 September 2025, the production will kick off its UK tour in Chester before heading across the country, including a three-week run at London's Alexandra Palace.

Produced by PW Productions, 'The Woman in Black' will run from 24 – 27 September 2025 at Storyhouse.

The well-known play had a record-breaking 33-year run in the West End, where it played over 13,000 performances before closing in March 2023.

Adapted for the stage by Stephen Mallatratt, 'The Woman in Black' follows a lawyer haunted by a figure he believes has cursed his family.

The upcoming tour will be directed by Robin Herford, with designs by Michael Holt and lighting by Kevin Sleep. Further casting details are yet to be announced.

Maintaining its commitment to accessibility, the production will continue to offer ticket pricing aimed at students and young people.
