A group of Chester carers are celebrating being named as one of the UK's top home care groups.

Belong at Home Chester, a home care service operated by dementia specialist Belong, is the only not-for-profit service in the country to have won the award every year since 2018.

Based on independent reviews on Homecare.co.uk, Belong at Home teams throughout the North West and West Midlands have been named in the country's Top 20 Large & Mid-size Home Care Groups 2025.

The daughter of one customer wrote: "This service has been a lifeline for our Dad who cares for our mum full time at home.

"Mum has vascular dementia and sadly no longer has capacity. Dad couldn't have got through the past few months without services provided by Belong at Home."

Belong at Home provides one-to-one personal care, housekeeping and food preparation - supporting people in their homes in and around Chester, as well as those residing in the Belong village apartments.

It also facilitates running errands, helping with excursions and offering companionship - all with the goal of enabling customers to maintain their independence.

Another said: "Wonderful input from the manager right from the start of the process of organising my mother's home care.

"The manager could not have been more helpful and professional. Following her initial assessment visit, the manager visited my mother on her own on one occasion, then visited her with my mother's permanent carer.

"My wife and I could not be more satisfied with how the whole process has been managed and how the manager has dealt with us all - especially my mother, with tact and sensitivity."

The team also provides transport for those who wish to take advantage of the 'experience days' care service at their local Belong village.
