Cheshire College to host first open evening of the academic year

Cheshire College will host its first open evening of the academic year on Tuesday 7 October.
Taking place across its Chester, Crewe and Ellesmere Port campuses, the event marks the start of an exciting journey for those exploring their next steps in education.
Visitors will be able to tour the college's state-of-the-art facilities, speak directly with expert tutors, watch live demonstrations and receive personalised support with their applications.
"We're excited to open our doors for the first time this academic year and welcome the next wave of students, said principal and CEO, Jasbir Dhesi OBE.
"Whether you're stepping into college life for the very first time or returning to education after a break, the open evening is the perfect opportunity to explore what we have to offer."
This year's event also offers a first look inside the college's brand-new Institute of Technology (IoT) building at the Crewe Campus.
"The IoT is a major milestone for technical education in the region, offering cutting-edge training in high-demand sectors like engineering, computing, construction, and healthcare science." Dhesi added."
Offering over 300 courses - including A Levels, T Levels, apprenticeships, adult learning, higher education, and vocational programmes – Cheshire College provides strong industry links, supportive tutors, and award-winning facilities help students build the skills and confidence to succeed.
The college also continues to offer free transport for all full-time students aged 16–18 who live more than one mile from their chosen campus.
This includes public bus services to all campuses and an additional coach service to Crewe Campus, with no means testing required.
Dhesi added: "We want every student to feel confident that they can access education without barriers.
"By continuing to offer free transport across all our campuses, we're making it easier for young people to take that next step—no matter where they're coming from.
"It's just one of the many ways we're committed to removing obstacles and making education accessible to everyone."
The open evening will take place from 5.30pm to 8.00pm across all three campuses. You can find out more here.
