From 12pm this Friday (27 June), The Deva Tap will showcase ten excellent beers across its Cask and Keg range.

A description for the event reads: "We've got Crisp pales, fruity NEIPA's, and dastardly DIPA's waiting for you...let's get into it. 

"On Cask we have Silver King 4.3% GF Citrus Pale, Old Faithful.. White Rat 4% Hoppy Session Pale, Top Rat 5% Bold and Hoppy IPA and Ossett x Thornbridge 4.3% Collaboration Pale.

"On Keg there is SaltxJopan Better Call Salt 8.2% Double IPA, IKAT 8% Double Dry Hopped Double IPA, NEW Ossett King Rat 7.4% Hazy IPA, NEW Fog Rat 6% Hop Charged NEIPA, HuckABack 5.5% Fruity NEIPA, Seven Juicy Seas 5%Smooth and Juicy Pale and finally Alpacalypse 4.3% Session Pale.

Street food festival - Grosvenor Park - 28/29 June

A street food festival will take place at Grosvenor Park Open Air Theatre this weekend.

Officially launching Storyhouse's 2025 Grosvenor Park season, the free event will take place on Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 June.

Attendees can expect a wide range of food and drink alongside live music, from 12pm to 7pm on both days.

A description for the event reads: "Some of the line-up includes Chester Market's Nice Bites, offering a range of homemade American-style burgers, hotdogs and sides – alongside the city's artisan micro bakery, Kookaburra, which will be on hand for handcrafted Aussie bakes.

"The Grosvenor Park festival site includes a tepee bar, seating areas, fresh wood-fired pizzas, a barbecue, craft beers and frozen cocktails."

Vegan Market - Town Hall Square - Sunday 29 June

The Vegan Market Co will take over Chester Town Hall square this Sunday (Nub News)

A vegan market is coming to Chester city centre this Sunday (29 June).

The Vegan Market Co will take over Chester Town Hall square - bringing a range of vegan brands and small businesses to the city.

A description for the event reads: "The event will feature a huge variety of vegan street food vendors, artisan bakers, craft brewers, ethical jewellers, sustainable chandlers, local artists, environmental charities and more.

"Taking place from 10:30am to 4pm, the event is fully accessible. The Vegan Market Co seeks to showcase independent, pioneering and eco-focused companies to local communities."

Chester Philharmonic Orchestra will stage its latest concert at Chester Cathedral this weekend. Taking place on Saturday 28 June, it will include performances from various operas.

This includes, "The Flying Dutchman" by Wagner, "La Bohème" by Puccini, Mozart's "The Magic Flute", "La Traviata" by Verdi, "Gianni Schicchi" by Puccini and many more. 

Diana Anderson, Chair of Chester Philharmonic Orchestra, said: "Our season of song & dance music concludes with an evening of favourite orchestral music and much-loved solos from the world of opera, directed by Spanish conductor Juan Ortuño, a passionate advocate for singing and working within opera and choral societies.

"We are also delighted to be joined by acclaimed soloists soprano Khrystyna Makar and baritone Marcus Dawson for what promises to be a glittering finale for our 2024/25 season of concerts."
