Chester Food and Craft Festival - Saturday 11 April - Carriage Shed

Chester's monthly food and craft festival returns this Saturday, bringing a vibrant mix of artisan stalls and local talent to the city.
Visitors can browse handcrafted homeware, unique gifts, beautiful jewellery and original artwork, alongside a selection of delicious street food.
The market will run from 11am to 4pm at Carriage Shed. Entry is free and the event is dog-friendly.
A description for the event reads: "Enjoy a vibrant mix of artisan shopping, delicious street food, live local music and a family friendly, relaxed atmosphere as we celebrate some of the North West's most talented independent makers."
Chester Amphitheatre: An 8000 year story - Grosvenor Museum

The Grosvenor Museum's latest exhibition details the story of one of Chester's most significant archaeological sites.
A description reads: "Find out what was there before the Romans built the largest amphitheatre in Britain, what new information was revealed about the amphitheatre and what happened in the centuries after the Romans left.
"This exhibition displays discoveries made by the major research excavations at Chester Amphitheatre in 2004 – 2006, a partnership between English Heritage and the then Chester City Council."

The Invisible Man - Saturday 11 April - Storyhouse

Storyhouse will host a new stage adaptation of HG Wells' 'The Invisible Man' this Saturday evening.
Exploring the concept of invisibility and the advantages it could bring, the original adaptation is brought to life by Our Star Theatre Company following their critically acclaimed 2023 UK tour and Edinburgh Festival Fringe run.
Audiences can expect a fast-paced and inventive performance, featuring 15 characters played by three actors, with rapid costume changes, imaginative prop work and plenty of comedic moments.

Sunday roast offer - The Deva Tap

Every Sunday, The Deva Tap serves up a 'roast and drink for two' offer, where diners can enjoy any two roasts and two selected drinks for just £35.
The drinks selection includes any cask ale or a medium glass of wine.
Guests can choose from a range of roast options, including beef, chicken, gammon, a trio of meats, or a nut roast. Each dish is served with roast potatoes, carrot and swede mash, roast parsnips, seasonal greens, a Yorkshire pudding, chive and onion stuffing, and unlimited gravy.

Big Fat Quiz On The Roof - Rooftop Social Club - Sunday 12 April

Rooftop Social Club hosts The Big Fat Quiz on the Roof every Sunday evening, offering teams the chance to win cash and other prizes.
Participants are invited to test their general knowledge across a series of rounds, while enjoying food and drinks in a lively atmosphere. Prizes include a cash first prize, bar tabs, pizza, and Prosecco.
