Gladiators of Britain exhibition - Grosvenor Museum
The Grosvenor Museum is currently hosting a free exhibition from the British Museum all about the brutal history of gladiators.
A description for the event reads: "Step into the arena where gladiators once fought and died to thunderous crowds.
"This major touring exhibition brings together rare Roman artefacts that reveal the brutal spectacle of gladiatorial combat in ancient Britain – including extraordinary finds from Chester's own amphitheatre, the largest in the country.
"From the enslaved fighters who became unlikely celebrities to the vendors selling food to eager crowds, Gladiators of Britain reveals the human stories behind the helmets."

The HandCrafted Market - Saturday 18 October - Grosvenor Shopping Centre

The Handcrafted Market returns to the Grosvenor Shopping Centre this Saturday.
A description for the event reads: "At The HandCrafted Market, shoppers can explore a diverse range of handmade products, including jewellery, ceramics, textiles, woodwork, paintings, and more.
"Each item is meticulously crafted with a personal touch, reflecting the individual style and artistic flair of the artisans.
"Shoppers can learn about the creative processes behind the products, hear inspiring stories, and even commission custom-made pieces."

Chester Repair Cafe - Saturday 18 October - Hoole Community Centre

This Saturday Chester Repair Cafe is celebrating its first year at Hoole Community Centre.
A description for the event reads: "Join us for a very special Repair Cafe - it's International Repair Day AND Chester Repair Cafe is turning 1!!
"Broken toaster? Ripped shirt? Bring them along to Chester Repair Cafe and we'll do our best to fix them for you!
"Save your stuff from landfill and save yourself some money all while grabbing a tea and cake at Chester Repair Cafe!
"Repairs are free of charge but donations towards running costs are appreciated."

Live gig by Sam Moss - Sunday 19 October - Telford's Warehouse

Looking for some live music this weekend with free entry?
Telford's Warehouse is hosting Virginia-based songwriter and instrumentalist Sam Moss this Sunday evening.
A description for the event reads: "Roman Candle & Telfords Warehouse are delighted to welcome Sam Moss to Telfords, Chester on Sunday, 19th October.
"Sam Moss is a songwriter and instrumentalist based in Staunton, Virginia. It's free entry, but we will be 'passing the hat' at the end of the evening."
