A band of toga-clad 'Romans' took to Eastgate Street on Tuesday 31 March, marking the opening of reservations for The Ivy Chester Brasserie.

Bookings are now open for The Ivy Chester, which is set to open on Newgate Street on Tuesday 28 April.

In a nod to the city's heritage, the 'Romans' returned to Chester yesterday for a lavish banquet to mark the opening of reservation lines.

The launch moment also offered passersby the chance to win their own banquet at The Ivy – a Champagne meal for four – once doors officially open.

"Opening our reservation lines is an exciting moment for us and we wanted to celebrate it in a way that felt memorable and distinctly 'Chester'," said Nial O'Sullivan, General Manager for The Ivy Chester Brasserie.

"The Roman influence is such a defining part of the city's identity, which made it the perfect inspiration for our reservation line launch.

"The Roman banquet was a fun way to capture attention, but ultimately it's all about giving guests a glimpse of the experience we're bringing to the city. We've already had such a warm response and can't wait to welcome everyone through our doors."

Situated in the heart of the city centre, the restaurant will showcase the brand's signature blend of all-day dining, seasonal menus and elegant interiors.
