By Dherran Titherington 14th Apr 2026
A popular pizzeria chain is set to open in Chester this summer, taking over the former Carluccio's restaurant on Bridge Street.
Rudy's Pizza Napoletana will move into the vacant unit at 38 Bridge Street, marking its 39th location across the UK and its first in the city.
To celebrate its Chester opening, Rudy's is offering 3,000 free pizzas to local residents.
Customers will have the chance to claim two free pizzas by signing up online, with booking slots released via email.
Availability will be limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis, with diners only required to pay for drinks and any extras. You can can sign up here to claim the offer.
The new restaurant will span two floors and feature seating for more than 170 diners. It is also expected to create up to 30 jobs, with a number of roles already open for applications.
Rudy's, which first launched in Manchester's Ancoats in 2015, specialises in traditional Neapolitan pizza and is accredited by the Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana (AVPN), which protects and promotes authentic pizza-making methods.
It has already built a strong presence across the North West, with multiple sites in Liverpool and Manchester.
The Chester site will replace Italian restaurant chain Carluccio's, which closed suddenly in March. The company was approached for comment at the time.
