Open-air cinema is returning to Grosvenor Park next month, with a programme of blockbuster favourites and recent releases.

Produced by Storyhouse, Moonlight Flicks runs from Sunday 9 August to Monday 31 August 2026.

The season opens with the hit musical Mamma Mia! on Sunday 9 August, followed by Tim Key's BIFA Award-winning comedy The Ballad of Wallis Island on Thursday 13 August.

This year's programme also includes several milestone anniversary screenings.

Baz Luhrmann's acclaimed musical Moulin Rouge! celebrates its 25th anniversary with a screening on Sunday 16 August, while Legally Blonde marks 25 years on Sunday 23 August.

Jim Henson's cult fantasy Labyrinth, starring David Bowie and Jennifer Connelly, will also be shown on Sunday 30 August to mark the film's 40th anniversary.

The season concludes on Bank Holiday Monday, 31 August, with Wicked for Good, the concluding chapter of the hit musical film series.

Visitors can pre-order wood-fired pizzas, grazing boxes and bottles of wine online before the event, while street food, craft beer and frozen cocktails will also be available to buy on the night.

Nicky Beaumont, Storyhouse head of cinema, said: "Moonlight Flicks at Grosvenor Park is always a highlight in the Storyhouse cinematic calendar.

"Our biggest screen and joyous films bring hundreds of people together every year to share an experience under the stars."

Tickets cost £12.30 for Storyhouse members, while Young Members aged 16 to 25 can book tickets for £5.

Moonlight Flicks forms part of the wider Storyhouse in the Park 2026 programme, which also includes Grosvenor Park Open Air Theatre productions of Outlaws: A Robin Hood Story, Let the Sun Shine! Peter Pan and Nell Gwynn.

The summer programme also features live comedy, murder mystery events, outdoor yoga sessions and family library craft activities.
