Chester's first-ever indoor padel club attracted over 4,000 visitors during its first month.

Padel Sheds, a brand-new 12,000 sq ft facility minutes from the city centre, offers four indoor padel courts, a bistro café and sports bar.

The fast-growing sport is often described as a mix between tennis and squash and has grown in popularity over recent years.

"We wanted to create something special for Chester — a place where people can play, relax, and socialise," said James Doak, Founder and CEO of Padel Sheds.

"The response so far has been incredible.

"We've had over 4,000 visitors in just our first month, from complete beginners to experienced players. It's amazing to see how quickly people are falling in love with the game."

The venue's bistro café-bar serves speciality coffee, cakes and snacks during the day, as well as premium beers such as Estrella Galicia and Guinness.

Padel Sheds operates on a pay-and-play basis with no membership required, so anyone can book a court online. The club also runs intro sessions for beginners, coaching programmes and social nights.

"Padel is incredibly easy to pick up and so much fun to play," added Doak.

"It's fast-paced, social, and great for fitness. You don't need to be an athlete to enjoy it; it's a game that really brings people together."

The Chester venue marks the start of a wider plan to bring more indoor padel facilities to towns and cities across the UK.
