Unseen footage, new materials and testimony from police will feature in a new Netflix documentary about Lucy Letby, a former neonatal nurse who was found guilty of murdering seven babies under her care.

The 36-year-old is serving 15 whole-life terms for murdering seven infants, and attempting to murder seven others, at the Countess of Chester Hospital between June 2015 and June 2016.

Today (22 January) Netflix has released a trailer for 'The Investigation of Lucy Letby'.

According to the streamer, it will feature "new materials and testimony from the British police who investigated the case and never-before-seen footage of Letby during her arrest and questioning".

The documentary will launch on 4 February 2026.

Marking the first time a family member involved in the prosecution has spoken in a documentary, it will also feature the mother of one of the victims speaking about her experiences and involvement in Letby's trial.

Produced by ITN Productions, 'The Investigation of Lucy Letby' will also include interviews with experts and lawyers from both sides of the case - promising to give "the most comprehensive look at one of Britain's most notorious crimes".

Earlier this week, it was confirmed that the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) will not be charging Letby with any further offences, following the review of evidence submitted by Cheshire Constabulary in July 2025.

Last year, Cheshire Constabulary had submitted a file of evidence asking the CPS to consider further allegations against Letby, relating to deaths and non-fatal collapses of babies at the Countess of Chester Hospital and Liverpool Women's Hospital.

The CPS said the extra information it had received from police had not met "the evidential test".
