Man rescued from mud at midnight in Chester

In the early hours of this morning (4 March) a man was rescued from knee-high mud on Sealand Road.

Shortly after midnight two fire engines from Chester were sent following reports of a man stuck down an embankment.

When they arrived, he was given first aid and left in the care of paramedics.

A spokesperson for Cheshire Fire and Rescue said: "Firefighters lifted a person who was stuck in knee-high mud from down an embankment.

"They gave them first aid and left them in the care of paramedics."
