A man has been charged with sexual assault and attempted rape in Chester.

Daniel Jones was arrested at 6.40pm on Wednesday 30 September.

Jones, of no fixed address, has since been charged with sexual assault on a female and attempted rape.

The 47-year-old appeared at Warrington Magistrates' Court on Saturday 3 October.

He was remanded in custody to appear at Chester Crown Court on Friday 30 October.
