More than 3,200 fans attended Wednesday's Macclesfield vs Chester derby, which saw just one arrest.
The Leasing.com Stadium hosted the National League North play-off clash on the evening of Wednesday 29 April, with supporters from both clubs in attendance for the high-profile fixture.
A comprehensive policing operation was put in place across Macclesfield and the surrounding area to ensure the safety of attendees and support a positive matchday experience.
Mounted officers and drone units from Lancashire, the West Midlands and Greater Manchester Police also assisted Cheshire Constabulary in the operation.
For the most part, the match passed without incident. Officers responded swiftly to a small number of minor disorder issues following the final whistle.
A 24-year-old man was also arrested during the match.
Superintendent Simon Parsonage, who oversaw the operation, said: "With over 3200 fans including nearly 1100 away fans travelling to the match which was itself being live streamed, the spotlight really was on Macclesfield and our officers who were in attendance.
"Other than a handful of small incidents which were quickly responded too, and the arrest of one individual, an all-round friendly atmosphere was maintained.
"I would like to thank all of our officers on the ground including colleagues from West Midlands, Lancashire Greater Manchester Police for their support.
"I also want to thank the vast majority of fans in attendance for their support in keeping everyone safe from kick off to the journey home after the final whistle."
