Road closures will be in place on Lower Bridge Street for manhole cleaning and survey work.

Lower Bridge Street, including the bridge between Duke Street and Mill Street, along with Castle Drive (from University entrance to junction of Lower Bridge Street) will be closed between 8pm-6am from 17-20 March.

The road closure, starting this evening (17 March), will see overnight working.

A spokesperson for Cheshire West and Chester Council said: "Lower Bridge Street will be closed from 8pm to 6am tonight and for the next three nights, for manhole cleaning and survey work.

"A through route will not always be available and any vehicles not requiring access to properties on the length of road should use alternative routes.

"The closure will come into force on 17 March 2025 and will be in force for a maximum of five days.

"It is anticipated that the work will last for approximately three nights."

Whilst signs say closures will be in place until 5am, the council has confirmed works will go on until 6am for the next three nights.
