A short walk around Chester city centre would reveal just how many familiar spots have been influenced by the duo behind local business, Kenneymore, which turns 30 this year.

Formed by Tim Kenney and Howard Moore in 1995, it is now Chester's leading independent commercial property consultants.

During the last 30 years, Kenneymore has brought numerous projects to life in the city, such as the development of Roomz opposite Chester Racecourse, the new Rooftop Social Club on top of Pepper Street Car Park and the Premier Inn on City Road.

The team are also currently working alongside Grosvenor Estates to bring a new five star Wildes Hotel to Chester city centre, which is set to arrive in 2026.

The local consultants have also worked with Beaverbrooks for 30 years.

Earlier in Kenneymore's history, it acted on behalf of DIY superstore giant, B&Q, identifying and then acquiring the former Manweb Headquarters building on Sealand Road for the chain's flagship Chester store.

Howard said: "It's a privilege to work with such companies, particularly Beaverbrooks who continue to open new stores, whilst extending others."

The duo have been integrated within Chester's wider community since the business' conception.

Tim's roles have varied from acting as board member of Chester Renaissance, a founder director of Chester BID, to even working to remove the unadvisedly implemented bus lanes into Chester and being the founder chairman of Chester Great and Small CIC.

Acting as Chester Santa Dash's lead safety Marshall for 13 years, and now chairing the Farndon Soapbox Derby, Tim has helped to raise over £125k so far for the Hospice of the Good Shepherd.

The co-owners strongly believe in giving back to the community with their time and creativity, alongside their financial support.

Tim said: "We can't do our job on our own. To do any transaction in the world of property requires teamwork, and a myriad of other professionals pulling their weight.

"So it's a pretty straightforward evolution to take that 'solution-oriented' skill set and apply it to other fields of activity.

"This is especially relevant when trying to make things happen in events and strategic thinking spaces, particularly when bridging the gap between private and public sector worlds."

Tim and Howard reflected on the huge changes to the property business, with the pair recalling having to fax and physically stick thousands of photographs on printed property details.

Tim added: "What hasn't changed though is our focus on getting the deal done!"

Kenneymoore is focused on finding property solutions for their clients, as a local Chester business with a national reach.
