Grosvenor Museum hosts free clothes swap

The Grosvenor Museum are hosting another free clothes swap on Saturday 22 March.
Guests are advised to bring up to ten good quality, preloved items of clothing to the Grosvenor Museum in Chester between 10:30am and 4pm.
Clothes for all ages, shapes and sizes are welcome - the more variety the better.
You can swap each item of clothing for another, all for free, refreshing your wardrobe without the cost to your wallet or the environment.
The Grosvenor Museum have organised the event with support from Friends of the Earth Chester & District, to encourage everyone to enjoy fashion in a more sustainable way.
Hannah from Friends of the Earth Chester & District, said: "By swapping some of the clothes we no longer wear, we are extending their life, reducing their carbon footprint and slowing down the rate at which we are buying, wearing and discarding our clothes.
"The fashion industry is the second largest polluter in the world, and three out of every five items will end up in landfill within a year of purchase, so swapping your clothes makes a huge difference to the planet."
Poppy, The Grosvenor Museum, said: "We've found visitors have really valued the Clothes Swaps we've done before so we wanted to bring it back for 2025.
"A clothes swap is the perfect chance to refresh your wardrobe and bond with friends, family and neighbours.
"You might even see other people picking up your preloved clothes, meet new people, or find an outfit that you love."
Booking is not necessary – just turn up on the day.
If you'd like to arrange drop-off of clothing in the run-up to the event, you can find out more here.
