A free nature-themed art exhibition will be on display in Chester city centre next month.
The brand new project, curated by University of Chester graduates, is a group exhibition featuring artists from the UK and beyond.
'Remember Nature' will open between 1-9 November at Castlefield Gallery New Art Spaces, in the Grosvenor Shopping Centre.
The exhibition has been curated by artists Estelle Woolley and Jill Walker, MA Fine Art graduates from the University of Chester, who's artistic practices are rooted in a slow and a tactile engagement with natural materials.
It brings together a diverse range of artists reflecting on and responding to the natural world, its fragility, and our relationship to it.
On Tuesday 4 November, there will be a special opening event between 4-6pm.
Joining Estelle and Jill's artworks will be pieces by artists including Steve Carrick, Tim Foxon, Melanie K King, Lydia O'Hara, Nina Sinkkonen Kotala and more.
'Remember Nature' was instigated by artist Gustav Metzger, whose work addresses climate change and its effects.
Now observed worldwide each year on November 4, the day invites creatives across disciplines to respond to the climate crisis with care and imagination.
New Art Spaces are temporary artist-led studios and exhibition spaces across the North West.
These spaces breathe new life into underused buildings while providing artists with vital space to create, exhibit, and engage with local communities.
