Four people injured in three-vehicle crash on A55

Four people were injured this morning (16 April) following a crash involving three vehicles in Chester.
At around 8:40am, police were called to the eastbound carriageway of the A55 between Broughton and the Post House Roundabout, where a Renault van, a SEAT Ateca and a BMW had been involved in a crash.
One fire engine from Chester attended the scene at approximately 8:46am.
By the time emergency services arrived, all occupants had already safely exited their vehicles.
Police confirmed there were no serious injuries, although all four people involved were treated for minor injuries at the scene.
The road was closed while emergency services dealt with the incident and made the vehicles safe.
Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said there were no signs of fire, and firefighters secured the vehicles before handing the scene over to police.
A spokesperson for Cheshire Fire and Rescue said: "Firefighters were called to a road traffic collision involving two cars and one van in Chester. All persons involved had safely gotten out of the vehicles before firefighters' arrival.
"There were no signs of fire, and firefighters have made the vehicles safe. Police closed the road while the incident is dealt with and the incident was handed over to them."
A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: "At 8.40am on Thursday 16 April, police were called to a collision on the eastbound carriageway of the A55 between Broughton and the Posthouse roundabout.
"There were no reports of any serious injures as a result of the collision, although four people were treated for minor injuries."
